DARE Receives Gold Award for Business Ethics from Axiom Business Book Awards

Atlanta, Georgia, April 2, 2014 – One year to the day after its initial publication, “DARE: Accepting the Challenge of Trusting Leadership,” authored by CEO Scott Weiss, continued drawing accolades by being named winner of the Gold Award for Business Ethics in the 2014 Axiom Business Book Awards. The Axiom Awards recognize the world’s best business titles.

DARE, which shines a light on the crisis of trust in business, has prompted discussion and debate on the topic in Forbes, Sky magazine and TLNT.com, and on numerous radio networks and programs, including Wall Street Journal radio and “The Price of Business.” The book, which was an immediate Amazon.com bestseller, was selected as a Gold winner from a pool of nearly 400 entries for the 2014 Axiom Awards.

“The challenge of trusting leadership is a real issue that continues to plague businesses, impeding healthy corporate cultures and preventing positive business growth. It’s refreshing to see the business world reacting so positively to DARE’s message,” said Scott Weiss, CEO of Speakeasy, Inc. and author of DARE. “Winning the Gold Award for Business Ethics from the Axiom Awards is a further indication that DARE’s message is unique and relevant.”

The gold Axiom is the second such award for DARE; in June 2013, it was named a finalist for the 2013 International Book Awards in the Best Business Management and Leadership Book category.

“Authenticity is perhaps the least considered but most powerful characteristic a leader can bring to the board room table to drive success. DARE highlights examples of positive results that can be achieved when leaders adopt honesty as a business strategy,” added Weiss.
